About Dr. Abigail M. Judge
Education, Training & Expertise
Dr. Judge holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and she completed advanced post-doctoral training in forensic psychology at the Children and the Law Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School. Currently a part-time faculty member at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Judge also teaches nationally on human trafficking and addiction. Her work bridges direct clinical care and institutional change, helping systems respond more effectively to women navigating trauma, exploitation, and addiction.
Dr. Judge has improved services for women at the intersection of substance use disorder and commercial sexual exploitation for over a decade. Her scholarship and clinical innovation has been supported by the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, the Imago Dei Fund, the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General, and the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Judge is an invited member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Human Trafficking Subcommittee.
In private practice, Dr. Judge’s provides psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, as well as forensic evaluation and expert witness testimony.
Dr. Judge is a licensed psychologist and Health Service Provider in the state of Massachusetts (MA License #9224) and a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
